The CBGC sponsored a horticulture specialty flower show on Friday, May 17th, at the Transportation Building, Rice's Hotel/Hughlett's Tavern, in Heathsville, VA. The show conformed to National Garden Club (NGC) standards and was open to all club members as well as all NGC members. The show received 206 entries of fresh horticultural specimens that fell into classes identified in the pre-published show horticultural schedule. Judging was completed and awards presented in the afternoon, and the exhibit was opened for public view on Saturday morning, May 18th.
